Promotional Video

Tasks Performed

  • Storyboard creation
  • Animation in After Effects
  • Editing in Adobe Premiere Pro

The Project

As part of my collaboration with this client, I created a promotional video for the children’s book series “Mes Premiers Contes,” a collection of books for children ages 3 and up. The goal was to present the collection’s various features in a dynamic and accessible way, while highlighting its visual style and educational approach.

I first created the storyboard to organize the various pieces of information to be presented and to establish the video’s pacing. This step allowed me to organize the sequence of visuals and messages, while ensuring that the narrative remained clear and appropriate for the early childhood audience. The storyboard was then submitted to the client for approval before production began.

I then created the animation in After Effects, refining the movements, transitions, and staging of the various graphic elements. One of the main goals of the animation was to highlight the illustrations, the characters, and the unique features of the books—such as the actions depicted on each spread, the easily recognizable dialogue, and the format designed for shared reading between adults and children.

Finally, I completed the final edit in Adobe Premiere Pro, putting the clips together, adding the audio, and making the necessary adjustments to the overall pacing of the video.

This project allowed me to create communication that was educational, entertaining, and promotional, tailoring the animation and pacing to the style of content designed to showcase a collection of children’s books. It also demonstrates my ability to transform various product details into a clear and engaging visual narrative.
