Creation of an educational motion-design video to explain the action-reaction principle of strikes and blocks in ITF Taekwon-Do, aimed at a young audience.
As part of a personal project, I created an educational motion-design video intended to explain, in a fun way, the action-reaction principle behind strikes and blocks in ITF Taekwon-Do, primarily for children and my students.
In addition to my work as a designer, I am an ITF Taekwon-Do instructor (4th dan) and have been teaching this discipline for over 15 years. This dual perspective—both educational and creative—has allowed me to develop content that is clear, accessible, and tailored to a young audience.
The project is part of a comprehensive educational initiative that began with the creation of a fun comic book designed to make learning Taekwon-Do more visual and engaging. For the video, I first drew the illustrations by hand, then vectorized certain elements to make the animation process easier. The entire project was then animated in After Effects before being edited in Adobe Premiere Pro.
The video presents technical principles in a simple and dynamic way, using movement and rhythm to aid understanding. This project demonstrates my ability to transform a technical concept into educational content by combining illustration, motion design, and visual storytelling.
